North Curl Curl is a suburb on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

‘Curl Curl’ is the original Aboriginal name for the larger area of Manly Vale, Freshwater and Queenscliff and may have been derived from a Dharuk Aboriginal phase curial curial, meaning river of life.

North Curl Curl sits at the top end of a long stretch of beach, nestled under the headland cliffs. There you will find North Curl Curl Surf Lifesaving Club with all the usual amenities and activities. A 25m rock pool juts out from the headland, offering uninterrupted views of the sea.

The beach itself is popular with surfers, and has a well-earned reputation for being the best for the sport on the Northern Beaches.

North Curl Curl has a small community of shops, cafes and restaurants. There are also plenty of parks, playing fields and playgrounds for children and dog friendly parks for dog lovers around the lagoon and creek. Neighbouring Dee Why is full of entertainment options, and Westfield Warringah Mall in Brookvale has all your shopping needs covered.

There are two public schools in the area – Curl Curl North Public School and Manly Selective Campus of the Northern Beaches Secondary College. St. Luke’s Grammar School is the closest independent school.
