Schwarz 2020 Spring Selling Season Prediction
What will the Spring Selling season look like this year?
As it has been a very unordinary year for Real Estate that cannot compare to any other, we can only go off what we have seen in the market now and in the last few months to predict.
The winter market (usually a quiet one) was a time of the market bouncing back, the number of properties listed, buyer activity and auction clearance rates increased since April. This is a good sign and for those thinking of selling it may be the right time for you to come to the market.
It is clear that there has been no dramatic decrease in property prices for units and houses along the Northern Beaches, there is still a lot of demand from buyers which upholding these prices. Also possible that due more at home renovations by owners during ‘COVID-19 lockdown’, it increased the value of their homes.
The government announced that Jobkeeper and Jobseeker has been extended and deferred bank loans also. This is a positive for the property market, meaning more people will be able to hold on to their properties and there less likely going to be a surge in properties on the market at low prices due to unaffordability.
Buying a home couldn’t be more appealing than now with great government stimulus packages available such as HomeBuilder and the First Home Loan Deposit Scheme, plus Record low interest rates will also continue to keep buyers rushing to the market.
So far it is looking pretty positive and hopeful that this spring property market will be as glorious as every other.
